Jägermeister LED Bottle Serve Tool

The brief to create a mechanism that could be attached to a bottle of Jägermeister that needs to light up.This product would be used in night clubs when a patron orders a full bottle of liqueur, this would be attached and light up to create hype and glamour around the order. It had to look premium and be completely unique.

We looked at what other liquor brands used for this process and what was out in the market. There were a few stock items which had brands logo’s just printed on the sides and this seemed to be the norm. Others used sparklers that were just placed into a holder. Careful consideration was given to the brand elements that we wanted to be presented in this product.

A choice was made to use a 3D polygon stag head and the Jägermeister brand banner. The choice of materials used in the construction had to be crisp yet robust as these will be handled quite roughly, especially in the night club environment. We chose premium grade multi-composite rubber for the stag head so that it could have some play and that the antlers would not break off easily. The body was an acrylic material which would illuminate light evenly.This product is made up of two new moulds, one for the stag head and another for the brand banner and bottle neck sleeve.

The Stag head had to be finished in a metallic gold colour, we chose a paint finish that could accommodate the movement of the material so that it would not crack. The brand banner was moulded and we screen printed the brand colour in an opaque ink so that the colour could also illuminate.We consulted with lighting engineers to ensure the moulds have the best quality LED lights fitted along with a built in powerbank. The LED’s had to illuminate evenly. We had to select the pulse that would work best for illumination too.

A simple solution was created that to recharge the unit one could just plug it into a USB point and recharge the powerbank. The unit is fitted with a power switch on the back which is purposefully placed in a very subtle position. A vacuum formed tray was made up to hold the unit along with the charging cable and instruction sheet so that it all is neatly packed to protect the product.
